Self-hosted WordPress plugin
Sitified vs ThemeWant Easy Hotel
ThemeWant's core plugin is genuinely free, and its bundle is the cheapest licence here. But you'll install WooCommerce before you can take a single payment, and at 800 active installs it's the least-proven hotel plugin in this comparison.
The cheapest way into a WordPress hotel site: the core booking plugin is free, with paid extensions on top. It's also the newest and smallest of the three, and it needs WooCommerce before it can take a payment.

Feature by feature
The 11 things that decide whether a hotel website wins direct bookings, and how each product handles them.
| Criterion | Sitified | ThemeWant Easy Hotel |
|---|---|---|
| Page load speedHow fast your site loads on a phone. Measured with Google's own yardstick, Core Web Vitals: main content up within 2.5 seconds. | Pre-built HTML served from a CDN. There's no page-builder code to download before your photos appear, which is the usual reason a builder site fails Core Web Vitals.[S3] | Theme and host dependent; nothing in the plugin guarantees it.[2] |
| Responsive designLooks and works right on phone, tablet and desktop, where most guests actually browse. | A responsive, per-hotel design system. Every layout is built to work from phone to desktop. | Its own widgets are responsive, and it lists compatibility with Astra, Divi, GeneratePress, Kadence and others.[2] |
| What it costs, all inThe real price. Most builders quote a low number, then charge again for hosting, booking and the add-ons you actually need. | $10/month, all-in. Hosting, content, live rates and the booking engine are in the one price. Your card processor still takes its own cut, as it does everywhere. | The cheapest entry here. The core plugin is genuinely free and the bundle is $119/yr or $199 lifetime, but hosting and extensions push a real site to $480–$700 a year.[1] |
| Who writes the contentWho writes the words and picks the photos. Most tools hand you an empty template to fill in yourself. | Your site arrives written. We read your real reviews, amenities and photos, then write every page and every room from them. You start from a finished site, not a blank page. | Rooms added by hand through the WordPress admin. Its own FAQ confirms there's no content generation.[2] |
| Who keeps it up to dateWhen search rules change or a new page type ships, does it reach your site on its own, or does someone have to go and do it? | Because we host your site, SEO improvements, new sections and fixes reach it automatically. No admin, no plugin updates. | Standard WordPress updates, applied by you, with premium add-ons gated behind an active licence.[2] |
| Live rates and direct bookingCan a guest pick real dates, see your real price and book on your own site, without you paying an OTA commission? | Open-API channel-manager integration. Your rooms, rates and availability come from Effective Tours, so the guest books with you, not with Booking.com.[S1] | Two-way iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and Google Calendar. It's just not in the free core: ThemeWant's own documentation puts the whole iCal setup behind a Pro tag, so you need the separate EHB iCal add-on (from $27) to switch it on.[2] |
| Payment providersCan you connect your own payment account, or are you locked into the platform's own processor and its cut? | Connect your own account from 150+ payment providers. No proprietary lock-in, no forced processor.[S2] | It requires WooCommerce before it can process anything. Once that's installed you inherit WooCommerce's gateways, but it's another system to set up and maintain.[2] |
| Social-media managementCan you write and schedule posts to Instagram or Facebook from the same tool that runs your site? | Not yet. It's being built, and we'd rather say that than pretend. | Not offered.[2] |
| Keeping the words freshDoes someone keep rewriting your copy as the hotel changes, or does the site slowly go stale? | A content-refresh subscription on top of the $10. We rewrite your copy as the hotel changes, in all your languages, so you never hire a copywriter. | None. Purchases buy updates, never content.[1] |
| Languages, built inMulti-language for international guests, included rather than a paid add-on plugin. | Any language, with up to 10 live on the site at once. The list isn't fixed: ask for Portuguese and Spanish and we add them. Each gets its own pages and URLs, so search engines index them properly, and you can edit any of it. | No translation engine of its own. It works alongside Polylang, WPML or Bogo, which you install and configure yourself.[2] |
| SEO, done for youSearch-engine structure and metadata, handled for you rather than a separate plugin to configure. | SEO is wired in, not a plugin you configure. Sitemap, hreflang for every language, and structured data for the hotel and each room. | No SEO features found anywhere in its listing or bundle page.[2] |

Why hoteliers choose Sitified over ThemeWant Easy Hotel
- 01
Free stops being free quickly. Add hosting, WooCommerce setup and a few extensions and you're at $480–$700 a year against our $120.
- 02
You install WooCommerce just to take a deposit. With us, payments are already wired in.
- 03

- 04
Every room and rate is yours to type. Sitified writes them from your real listing.
What ThemeWant Easy Hotel does better
No product wins on everything. These are the places ThemeWant Easy Hotel has us beaten.
The core booking plugin, with real rooms, rates and seasonal pricing, is genuinely free. Nothing else in this comparison gets you a working hotel booking engine at $0.
A $199 one-time lifetime bundle is the cheapest permanent licence in this comparison.
It works with free Polylang or Bogo, so multi-language needn't cost anything extra.
It's actively developed, with a release shipped the week we checked.
In fairness — For a small guesthouse wanting to test the water at close to zero cost, ThemeWant is a fair way in: the core plugin really is free. It's just the least-proven option here, WooCommerce is a real dependency, and even the iCal sync its own free listing advertises turns out to need a $27 add-on to switch on.
